I bought a different one by Clarity but it didn't have caller ID (my bad - oldtimer's lack of attention to detail), so I bought this one and it works like a champ. Returning the first one was easy. I have a pretty profound hearing loss in both ears, and I've been struggling to hear conversations on the phone for years despite wearing hearing aids. Anyway, read the instructions, hooked this one up, and I can hear every word the caller says clearly and loudly. I'm not even using the loudest volume available. Otherwise, works like any other phone -- punch the number in and it calls; hear it ring loudly (or see the light flash for incoming and you answer. Not complicated.
